August 06, 2011 :: Kodak Retina II Type 142 A few weeks ago I saw a blog post about an old Nikon camera and I remembered my parents having an old camera that was around the house. I asked them and my Dad said it was in a dresser downstairs. I was impressed he knew the location so quickly. I asked if they would send it to me so I could mess around with it, and it arrived today. I went and bought some film (I'm pretty sure I wouldn't take as many pictures as I do if I had to pay $2.50 for 24 shots!) I'll mess around with it today and see if it still works. Produced from 1937-1939. Schneider Xenon f/2.0 50mm This isn't the exact camera, but this scanned user manual was helpful in figuring out how to use it. August 04, 2011 :: Fair Ride We went to the County Fair yesterday and this is one of the rides. After seeing so many Turkish traditions, we thought we should return the favor and took our Turkish friends to see an American tradition.
