June 14, 2011 :: At the Drive-In We went to a drive-in last night to see X-men and Pirates of the Caribbean. The big questions for the night: Would we be eaten alive by bugs? and Would we stay awake for both movies? We shut the windows pretty quickly after the sun went down to keep the bugs away. Luckily it was chilly so that was OK. As for the staying awake part...The 1st movie ended around midnight and I wasn't going to make it another 2 hours plus a drive home, so we packed it in. I'm getting old. This is a shot of Lorraine posting some smart alec remark on Facebook about me not staying awake.

June 12, 2011 :: Photomatix Try 2 While I was running today (trying to undo Lorraine's baking!) I saw this, so I had to go back tonight and get some pictures. I tried a couple of different angles but this was the 1st one I tried to put together in Photomatix tonight. I might have some time on Monday (no more school!) to try some more. This is a little busy, but I'm liking the HDR thing. I need to compare this to some of the "regular" pictures I took, but I might have to get a real version of Photomatix to get rid of the watermarks. Thanks for all of the comments on the baked goods the last couple of days! Lorraine is the PhDcupcaker ( http://themalesfamily.com/phdcupcaker/ ) and enjoys baking way too much! I guess I shouldn't complain and just go for a run.
